Root Kernel for Virus Airborne RC2

Hey all. Today I flashed and have been testing all day a kernel for VirusRom. I've been using king's bfs #10. I have it overclocked to 1.113ghz and it's been stable all day. Mflops are in the 36's and long bench is around 340ms. I tried to OC it to the full 1.2 max of setcpu but immediately locked the phone and had to pull the battery to reset. I'm pleased with the stable OC but GOTTA see if I can max it out! What other kernels should I try? Thanks in advance!

ok, you may never get to 1.2, every evo is different. Some can only hit 1.1 and some can go up to 1.25. this depends on the evo and sometimes it will never hit the full 1.2

To the OP. Is not a matter of what Kernel,despite the fact that all EVOs have the same hardware in exception of the Epson and the Nova panels they will all react different when it comes to OC,I been able to run 1.26 with no problem while others can even make it past 1.15.

The fact that your CPU is running faster doesn't always mean that the phone is performing better and that is been proven plenty of time.Now with all this fast ROMs and Kernels I don't see the point of overclocking ur CPU.

I've been running RC3 with Netarchy for about a week now, and am pleased with its performance. I actually had very poor performance with KingKlick's kernel, so YMMV.

I think you meant BFS or CFS, as they both have HAVS.

However the way Virus named the two files on his server, he marked them cfs and havs... hence havs.
