Whats your favorite roller coaster?

The title speaks for itself, i'm sitting here bored at work waiting on this Palm Pre to reset and I decided to start this general question. Hopefully we have some coaster lovers in the community.

I'll start... while living in Atlanta, I worked at Six Flags Over Georgia for 2 years. It was always a 'dream job' of mine since I was a youngin. Well in 2005, I finally got to experience my dream. While working out there, I got to ride every coaster a massive number of times, without waiting in line. But there was one coaster that took the cake... Deja Vu

Vecoma built 4 of these bad boys... 3 were built in the US and 1 was built in Spain. The coasters in Georgia and Jersey were removed some time ago. The one from Jersey was moved to Idaho and the one from Georgia was moved overseas somewhere. The one in California still remains and I'm making it my business to get out there to ride it again before they decide to tear that one down as well... Your turn!

I've seen POV's of Millennium Force and thats another coaster that i've got to experience. TTD doesn't look so bad but the extra hump Kingda Ka provides kinda makes me lean more towards New Jersey.

If you love coasters the best place to go in the country is Cedar Point hands down. It's only about 2.5 hours away from me and I go once or twice a year. I love it.

I was just recently down at orlando for a vaction and weent to universal, seaworld, and disney. I liked the Hulk at unversal and that was about it. I tried that new "rock-it roller coaster" and it was very dissapointing, cant say why it just was. As for my all time favorite I'd have to say the Superman ride at 6 flags NE, its a 1 hr drive from where i live which is nice.

Dragon Khan in Universal Port Aventura (105km/h)

China is home to the biggest ride in the park – Dragon Khan, with 8 inversions this is one of the most thrilling rides in Europe and formerly held the record as having more inversions than any other roller coaster. It also held the world record for the tallest vertical loop on any roller-coaster. The ride built by Bolliger & Mabillard (B&M) opened on May 2, 1995 and was one of the two roller coasters that Port Aventura had when it opened. It consistently ranks among one of the world's best roller coasters in polls.

Really must go back there... Catalonia is such a nice place

My family used to go to Universal every Christmas and I fell in love with The Incredible Hulk and Dueling Dragons. For a while, the Hulk was my favorite... before I experienced Deja Vu.

Voting on mine by what's closest to me. I've been on PLENTY of good ones though (parents both grew up going to Cedar Point)...

1) Sheikra - Dangling over the 90 degree drop before plummeting face first towards the ground is awesome!

I've got to say that the scariest one I've been in was made of wood. It wasn't so scary/thrilling, but the simple fact that it was made of out wood and really high was almost too much for me to handle. Let's say it's a good thing they didn't take a picture of me during the ride. We were a group of about 12 people at the amusement park and only 4 of us ended up doing it.

I like coasters, but I've never been in any "extreme" one, seeing that every time there was a huge line of people waiting. And my friends aren't so brave, as you can see!

Mighty Canadian Minebuster
The Mighty Canadian Minebuster is the largest and longest wooden coaster in Canada. Its immense wooden track is full of side-winding turns, stomach lifting camel humps and breath-taking drops. The Minebuster reaches astounding speeds of more than 90km/h on its 4000 feet of serpentine designed track.

It's not so fast but it's a different feeling than the other rides.

I like the back left corner. IMO, the back row leaves you teetering on the edge (especially when you don't have any track underneath you). The front row didn't have that "scare" factor I was looking for.

Still a BLAST regardless though!!!

My favorite one is X^2 at Six Flags Magic Mountain in SoCal. There are only 2 of its kind in the world with the other one located in Japan. It's the world's first "4th" dimensional rollercoaster where you actually sit on the sides of the main track and as your ride the rollercoaster, you move 360 degrees forward and backward independently of the track. The first drop is you plummet towards the ground at 90 degrees and the only thing in front of you (if you're in the first row) is the ground. You don't see the track really.

had the back as well my first time just as fun i just liked the front because of that first part where your just hanging over the drop

Glad to see this thread has sparked some similar interests... I have yet to ride a vertical drop coaster (such as SheiKra) but I plan on getting to Busch Gardens real soon to take a ride. As I stated in my first post, I definitely plan on taking a trip to Six Flags Magic Mountain to ride Deja Vu again, but I also want to take on X2 and Scream, as well as Tatsu.

So Deja Vu doesn't have a line either? I remember when it was in Georgia, Deja Vu always had the longest line, 2nd only to Superman-Ultimate Flight (before they built Goliath ofcourse). I really miss that ride...

Side note: I'll never forget watching this lady get off Deja Vu. Her hair was all messed up and she could barely walk off the ride. Her family was making fun of here and she was screaming at them to shut up. Good times.

I was especially shocked because Vecoma is known for very ROUGH coasters (If anyone has ridden The Ninja at Six Flags Over Georgia you know what i'm talking about) but Deja Vu was unbelievably smooth.

Oh that's awesome! I'm about 2 hours away from the park (when I'm in CA). Riddler's Revenge tends to almost make me have a charlie horse... which is a NO NO! I think it's because of the G force on my calves while trying to stand. Viper is a fantastic rollercoaster. It's very rough on the head but the corkscrews are awesome! I always have a heart for Revolution because it was my first "big boy rollercoaster" and it's also the first steel rollercoaster in the world to have an actual successful and painless loop. SFMM has or had so many records. It's truly one of the best parks in the world for rollercoaster fanatics. That's what sets it apart from Knott's and Disneyland.
