Root Overclocking yet? if not, WIP?

I'm pretty sure no one has figured out how to overclock the D2 yet.. but does anyone know of any projects where someone is working on it? if so do you have a link of any sort? I remember when I had my milestone you couldn't overclock it for the longest time but I found the team working on the milestone overclock app and was able to keep tabs on it.

1ghz is really fast. who needs it any faster? are we becoming speed freaks??? again theres no need for it if even if there are some people working on it.

I guess it's a matter of opinion.
Otherwise there wouldn't be such a variety of muscle cars out there with higher and higher horsepowers :)

To clarify a bit - I was at 1.2 and 1.25 on the D1 and it was nice. I will take the smoothness and stability of the D2 at a lower speed though. But with that in mind, higher clocks would only help some, provided that there is stability - and stability is a loose term as every phone reacts to kernels differently.

havent heard of any. there really isnt a need to overclock a 1ghz device. the whole reason of overclocking the droid/milestone was because they were 550/600mhz. 1ghz is really fast. who needs it any faster? are we becoming speed freaks??? again theres no need for it if even if there are some people working on it.

I kind of agree with this.
The d2 isn't lacking in speed, but most would probably OC if they could. Faster is always better.

However, I'm not sure I want to sacrifice battery life like I did on my Eris. On that slow thing it was worth it to OC the heck out of it and carry a spare battery in my pocket;)

I am trying to work with FreeWELL (person who posted DX overclock) on a D2 version.

There are a few differences but he thinks he can do it.

same with me lol :)

I hope we can get something out which will work on the droid 2.

Like someone said earlier the droid 2 isn't lacking speed but it could improve for sure and I like seeing high quadrant scores on my droid 2 like this

this was me! I was so proud
