Help Why Why Why...is there Dust under my New Droid X screen?

Are you kidding me? My Evo..no dust..My Incredible..no dust..
My Brand Spanking new Droid X..DUST UNDER THE SCREEN..WTF!
I'd expect this on my old blackberry 8300, but a Moto/VZW Flagship Android device..Come on!
Anyone else???

Get used to it motorola has no quality control. I am having my 6th droid x sent to me since launch day. Screen problems, dust under the screen, gps problems you name it. As much as I liked my droid 1 I will not be buying anything motorola again.

I'm genuinly surprised to hear that. Not that I'm a Motorola fan boy, but I've been very impressed with the build quality of this phone. Well, call em up and give em an earfull is all I can tell you.

I feel your pain man... I have been with Verizon for 2 weeks now and I got my 5th one today lol.... Hopefully this one last for awhile... Dust under the screen was an issue I hoped these phones did not encounter.

build quality of this phone is great. dust ends up under every smartphone screen. it happened to my iphone too.

it happened to my x, and i took it apart and cleaned it with my glasses lens cleaning cloth. it woulda driven me nuts to not clean it out. taking it apart really isnt too bad. it's just a few screws.

although, if you dont have experience with taking electronics apart, i would hold off. it is easy to crack the digitizer. best to use a wedge if you have one.

I would return it at the 30 day mark if you still dont have a good one. Verizon got me on that one and refused to get me a phone that worked. I was given an early upgrade due to the trouble. Today I got a rep that agreed to send me a new in box one due to all of my trouble.

LOL...I still have the incredible! Just wasn't really using it that often. I guess its just expected these days with the way so many devices are mass produced. But I'm pretty surprised at moto..I thought the phone felt like a tank, thought build quality felt top notch. Not the case when u start finding dust under the screen. Oh well, thats the breaks!

I talked to a Motorola support supervisor and he confirmed that the refurb devices being sent out are going to have issues and are not "certified like new". Basically they are taking in bad phones, cleaning them up and sending them back out as if they were not flawed.
