Root Flashing to a custom ROM for the first time - which should I use?

My Incredible is rooted and s-off, and after four months of ownership, I'm finally ready to take the plunge and flash to a custom ROM. I've researched the ROMs out there and I've narrowed down my choices to Sky Raider, Redemption, and Virtuous. Those three ROMs are running a version of Sense, which is something I actually desire. I'm not ready to run Vanilla because there are features of Sense which I actually like. However, I have a few questions for those who have used those ROMs:

1. All three seem very stable, but which has caused you the least amount of problems? I can't afford to use a ROM which has any issues with receiving calls/emails/texts.
2. Do they play well with WidgetLocker, Folder Organizer, and LauncherPro? (Can't live without those two apps.)
3. Do they employ the slide-to-unlock answer screen when you receive a phone call when the phone is locked? It's the one thing I hate about Sense, and I've had no luck with apps that force a different answer screen.
4. I prefer something lite and speedy. I'm not a fan of bulk.

I chose those ROMs because it seems that a great deal of work have gone into them, and they're updated on a fairly regular basis. However, if there are any other ROMs that meet those requirements and you've had a great experience with it, please let me know!

Thanks in advance!

Heh. So I come back after I've flashed to Redemption to find that I decided upon the only ROM not mentioned. I did play around with Sky Raider Vanilla for 45 minutes or so but it didn't feel quite right. I was surprised to find that Sky Raider Vanilla had the slide-to-answer screen when the phone is locked, which was a bit irritating. If I hadn't just finished tweaking Redemption, I'd flash to Virtuous. We'll see how things work out.

I'd still like to find a ROM that doesn't make use of the slide-to-answer screen. Hate it with a passion.

+1 for Virtuous. It's really close to a stock ROM minus bloat. RMK even includes a tool with toggle switches if you want to re-enable the stock bloat apps individually. Very stable, and I think one of the best ones starting out if you're used to Sense.

There's other good ones out there, but from my personal experience, its my favorite has little to no learning curve if you're used to stock.

I think skyraider is much better. Faster and more reliable than virtous. I had virtous for a while. Then decided to try skyraider. Love it.

I have used Skyraider I couldn't tell the difference in speed between Stock, Virtuous or Skyraider. Were you using a different Kernal/Radio? Also the themes didn't change anything really. Don't get me wrong skyraider is a quality ROM just seems exactly like the stock ROM, but maybe Im installing it wrong.

I experienced my first random reboot with Redemption today when I tired to manually refresh the weather in Beautiful Widgets. I haven't noticed a massive increase in battery life and the battery indicator seems a bit off as well, but all in all, it's been a very good experience. It definitely feels snappier than stock FroYo, and I love the transparency of the notification bar and the green accents.

I can definitely see how flashing multiple custom ROMs can become addictive. It's quite simple and very fun. That being said, Virtuous is next on my list. :)
