Root Need help with Lag

I have had the Dinc for the last several months and just coming to the Fascinate in the pas week. I hear about the lag and I also experience it alot. I am familiar with all the loading of ROM's and Kernels but cant see to get a direction how to fix this lag...

Is there any clear direction on how to get rid of this lag?

custom kernels for the fascinate really help deal with the lag on the phone. the ones that jt1134 has in rom manager (nonvoodoo) are a good start.

the voodoo lagfix kernels are currently in version 5 and should be ready for primetime soon (and look like irc only), but if you are new to the fascinate id hold off on them until you are more familiar with the phone. a lot of us have voodoo horror stories and battle scars

Thanks.. One More issue I am having... Go to do a backup and I get e: failed to verify whole file sginature e: signature verification failed

Install aborted...

Need to do a backup before I do this? Is there a problem with Clockwork?

im assuming you pushed clockwork mod with odin....

are you seeing this error when you try and boot into cwr and it hangs at the blue stock recovery? if thats the case either you moved/renamed the update.zip file created by clockwork recovery, or in odin you pushed stock recovery isntead of cwr and it never created the update.zip file

Hmmmmm... Okay I guess this is where maybe I might have messed up.. I dont know what ODIN is, well I did look out on the internet and find out that the tool used to push to the Samsung.. I didnt do that! When I rooted I dont think that occured..

I believe it got pushed via ROM Manager or at least I thought that was the case when I opened ROM Manager... So I think I have some issues here...

Guess I gots to do the ODIN Piece...

we cant straight flash cwr from rom manager as we have a semi-locked bootloader

thats the cwr thread...you need odin like rstlite on the dx and ruu and incredible

I got it... I guess I needed to do that.. I am doing a nandroid fine now....
