Hey guys. I just rooted with Unrevoked (brand new one) for my first time and everything went smoothly. Got all bloatware removed (except for VZ apps and Slacker, anyone know the commands btw?)

Anyways, I was changing my boot screen and it wont change for me. I've followed tutorials to the exact letters and still cannot figure it out. It keeps loading up the stupid android eye :( Anyone have any tips or did they block this on the new OTA?

I just installed one after rooting an SLCD with the NOV OTA today. It worked fine. This is the guide I followed: Howto: Root the HTC Droid Incredible - Technology - Jonamerica.com

Make sure you name it exactly "VZW_bootanimation.zip" if you're running 2.2

Thats the one I used. I'll try to redo it when I get home from work, hopefully itll work this time. I did change it to VZW_bootanimation.zip as well, so hmmm... hopefully itll just work 2nd time around haha

I have this same problem and it has to do with zipping the package. I can take one that someone else has made and it works fine. I can unzip one of those and rezip it, and it won't work.

Winrar and 7zip are, as of now, giving me no luck. I'll let you know if I come up with something.

I think thats whats happening to me too, since I followed the tutorial EXACTLY. Only other thing I did was unzip it to look at it :O

What did you do with winrar/7zip to make it work?

I used this one:
nexus-bios-boot-previe1rwt.gif

from
[Boot Animation]Android Bios Boot animation | Latest additions: Dream, Desire! Evo? - xda-developers

Just renamed it to VZW_bootanimation.zip and it worked.

I also did what it says on that main tutorial and also what it said under this forum post with the animation. Idk if it had anything to do with it but I did both pushes/moves.
