Message alert problem

Hello all i was wondering if anyone can help me, i am new to the htc desire hd fone and i am not too sure with the functions, whenever i get a text message and my fone is locked at same time the screen some how doesnt light up like most fones do, is there a particular setting for this or could it be a problem with the fone?

Get an app called "sms notifications"

This makes a pop up appear with the msg and contact pic (if they have one) and can edit sounds and LED flash.

Will need to disable the current SMS alert settings (go into texts, press menu and go into settings to do this) otherwise you'll get 2 taskbar alerts/sounds etc.

Hi thxs for the reply, i downloaded a app for it, just strange for a fone not to light up when receiving a message

It puts out a text alert sound? Is that not enough?

not if your in a loud place...no....a sound is not good enough....
