These ROMs on here (Trident and Raptor) are VERY good...great ROMs. I'm not a full on techy...I do dable though. I'm more of a, "motorhead" that does. Engines and pcm tuning...so, like most things I've learned...I've had to read. ..A LOT. ..and most times more than twice.
I've learned HERE mostly by reading...and the rest by asking. These guys here are ALWAYS very willing to help.
I'm pretty sure an question or problem you have...they've already dealt with or prev. helped someone with the very same thing.
This msg. Board has great people and great ROMs...its DEF. worth learning a thing or two and downloading a ROM AOR TWO (donating is def. a nice/helpful way of saying "thanks" BTW...lol)
Best of luck! These guys helped me NOT regret my decision to get an Ally.
good deal. I'm an enginehead myself, so all this
'partitioning' and 'overclocking' is still alien to me. But yeah, I'll keep reading and asking! Thanks all!
The guy is having to completely recompile the OS 2.2 for ally from scratch, and its taking a while to get this far, and the full potential is still far off. Hes barely supported by the community, sure everybody offers to help test, which is good, but from what i understand he gets hardly any donations for a project he doesnt even benefit from!
Great strides have been made yes. But porting a Rom to an alpha build is not a smart idea. Especially when so many primary features still wont work...Lets learn to walk before we run a marathon ya know?
