So i don't know why i did it. but i turned my notifications off on my mac on FB and turned them back on.. now my phone doesn't receive the notifications at all.. even after an uninstall and refreshing the notifications screen on my droid. So don't turn your notifications off on your pc/mac.. I am using the newest FB app that came with the phone.. i've tried bloo and just not a fan of it.. would really like to get back to the other app.

Facebook for android sucks a big one. I seriously hate it so much.

It's not great, but give it a little bit of credit. It's just fine for the basic browsing around Facebook for the most part, and it's pretty fast. I'm assuming it will become more robust as time goes on. Who knows, maybe we'll even get help from the iPhone developer who quit developing because Apple sucks, the one who made the awesome iPhone Facebook app.

if you don't like the native app, go to touch.facebook.com, has events, message access, etc.

Workaround:

Facebook (on the computer) > settings > notifications, and check SMS. If you don't have the mobile number enabled, you can set it up easily.

Then, you can even change the notification sound/vibrate and LED color with Handcent SMS, by going into a conversation with 32664 (FBOOK), and hitting the icon on the top right (person with gear), and changing the settings.

Then use touch.facebook.com or m.facebook.com (don't know why you would ever use the latter though)

hope this helps -David

I never received them either either with out refreshing on the notifications tab.. but still do this day i get nothing, even after refreshing. Ive been emailing back in forth with one of the guys from the FB app page and he still has no idea what happened. I added my gmail account to FB and it gets the notifications right away, downfall is now my gmail is blown up with FB. I know im complaining about a rad phone, I came from the Tour (i had 3 in one month to add) and this phone is like a ferrari compared to a pinto, i'd just like it to go back to the way it was.

Agreed. I hate the facebook notifications and stuff with email. That's why I try to use sms. But one thing you can do with gmail is place a filter for all mail coming from fb--mabe archiving and/or putting on a label. However, idk whether it would still make your phone receive the notification if there is a filter.
