I never got back to this but fwiw

i downloaded straight off the market, works fine. i'm in Australia, desire 2.2

it's a good app, runs well, has a clean looking ui and delivers good results.

i have yet to make anything worth showing, but that's just because i've been lazy :)

hope you can sort out the problems with the download as it seems to be the only good time lapse app

Damn! I really wanted to try this but using the QR code I get "could not find app in market"

is the new version uploaded to 4shared?

Edit:: I'm in Canada?

Hi Barges, there should be no restriction of countries, you own a Samsung Galaxy? I had two in my hands yesterday and both worked very well to find it on market and to run.

You can download the lite version here:
AirLapseLite.apk - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download

Please make me aware if that works.

Thanks

Hey Maurrubio, I will try again in 20 minutes once my phone has finished downloading Maps on MapDroyd. I will report back! Thank you for your help :)

Still can't find it on the market :( And downloaded from 4shared but it says "application not installed" I'll try restarting and try again.

EDIT:: I installed using root explorer and dumping the APK into /system/app, tried to run the program but it said I need adobe air. When I clicked download now, I get the error "Application not available"..

That sucks, your phone don't support Adobe Air? Maybe that's why the app don't show in Android Market too.

Sorry :(

Someone else tried and want to give a feedback?

Well, I managed to find it on the Market no problems and have tried both the free and paid for versions, but it doesn't work on my Desire HD. When capturing it just shows a horrible green screen, as if there is something wrong with the resolution (and you can just about make out two camera images at the top of the screen behind the green screen). I tried all available resolutions, but all showed the green screen. I tried to capture anyway, but it saved no images at all.

Also, when you press the Home button after using it it keeps your screen timeout at full and even adjusting the timeout the screen remains on permanently.

Happy to say that there's been an update, which fixes the capture issues on my DHD. Very nice app. There's still a problem when exiting to the home screen, in that the screen stays on permanently afterwards, but using the back button to exit makes it exit cleanly. Might be worth having an exit option on the front screen, so that people use it instead of the Home button.

Thank you, this kind of feedback is what make the applications better, I already fixed this issue and it will be implemented in the next version.

Hope to hear more feedback like yours.

I've got a few other suggestions, if you want them:

The layout of the main screen with the app name and logo dominating the screen completely overshadows the menu buttons, making them difficult to read and even select correctly, especially the three buttons to the right of the logo. Whilst you obviously want to make sure people know what the app is called, funcionality should be key.

The shades used in each button are actually very similar to shades regularly used in many apps to show that that button is greyed out and therefore not available. I'd personally make the text and graphic within each button a little darker if the option is selectable.

Also, the "Record" button is slightly counter-intuitive. It's a grey circle when not recording and red circle when recording. I think the standard recording icons would be better, ie a circle to start recording and a square to stop recording, personally I'd make the circle red and the square black, but that's a matter of style I think.

Dang, I should have known when it made me download Adobe Air. This app is extremely slow. Once I finished capturing, it sat there for like 5 minutes. I couldn't put anything into the file name window, the PNG/FLV radiobuttons worked and I could click the render button, nothing was happening. Eventually a large orange 'play' triangle appeared in the video area and it began to play ... extremely slowly ... 2 fps max. Then I had to wait for 5 more minutes while it finished previewing at this slow rate. Only then could I enter a file name and select the rendering type. I selected FLV (why not AVI or MOV? It's 720p after all). It took about 15 minutes to render. Then I tried to play it and it wouldn't play at anything like 30fps! The FLV does not show up in the videos list on my HTC Incredible. When I exited from the app I discovered that my HTC Sense UI had crashed, requiring a UI cold start.

0 stars, returned!

Humm, that's bad, sorry for that, the app usually works ok, but sometimes it don't like some devices I don't know why. I would like to hear from other ppl, we have some other feedbacks?
