I use Google Calendar Sync. and it works pretty well. Google Calendar

Contacts and tasks don't sync, but calender entrys sync both ways very well.

I use the same. Basically you load Google Calendar Sync on your PC. It reads your Outlook calendar and syncs it to the Google Calendar. Your phone then syncs from the Google Calendar.

Now as far as DKaakd's statement that it syncs both ways, this is not necessarily true. Though it syncs great the way I described in the paragraph above, it does not work as smooth if it add the appt to your phone first and expect it to sync to Outlook. When you make an appt on your phone, for some reason it creates an event instead with one guest, YOU. This then syncs to the Google Calendar. Outlook however does not recognize events with guests and places it in its trash folder. The only way to get around this is to go to Google Calendar and remove yourself as a guest. Syncs fine then.

There are actually a few ways you can do it. As mentioned above, using Google Calendar Sync works and it's free. It does have a few issues, however, as Holydoc mentioned. It doesn't sync the rest of your Outlook data (contacts, tasks, etc). It will only sync with your primary Google Calendar, meaning you can't use multiple calendars. In the end, Google Calendar Sync can be a great option if you have a simple setup.

If Google Calendar Sync won't work for your setup, however, I'd recommend CompanionLink for Outlook - it works in conjunction with an Android App called DejaOffice. HTC Sync (downloadable from the HTC website) is intended to sync calendar and contacts with Outlook. It occasionally works.
