Don't like the way the stock 2.3.2 market looks? Change it to one of the selections at this link......

[APP]::20-02-11::NEW Themed Market 2.3.2:: Honeycomb versions & 2 whites added::: - xda-developers

They are supposed to work on any ROM except for stock. There is pretty much one there that should work for any theme you are running. I have used them on Liberty 1.5, Apex 1.4, and DS v4.2 with no problems.

All the time I spent learning how to theme the market; had I known about this I would have just passed on it and used these.....lol........then again I probably would have spent that time anyway :D

Thanks very much for the heads up. Neon Honeycomb was perfect for what I'm doing. Installed thru Root Explorer since I read some people with X's were having trouble with the flashing thru clockwork.

Now just need a nice swype keyboard that looks the same and I think I will be done for today :)

so, i downloaded the black/neon red market .zip to my computer, copied it onto my sd card, then did an install via bootstrap, but the market is still stock, and i cant find anything in my app folder. whats my next step?

btw i am running apex 1.4.1

This worked for me also running Apex, I just extracted the vending.apk from the zip on my computer and put it to a directory on my sdcard then did the rest in root explorer

Installing via bootstrap did not work for me either, I had to extract the vending.apk file, move it and change the permissions with Root Explorer.

It looks good with the rest of my blue/black theme.

Ok how to I install via Root Explorer and what permission does it need?

Thanks!

Unzip the file and grab the vending.apk file from the system/app folder, then place it on your SDcard, then use root explorer to move it into the system/app folder on your phone. Then long press on the apk file and select "permissions" then change them to: User: Read, Write; Group: Read; and Others: Read. Then just restart your phone.

Thanks man.

I tried what you said with Fission 2.6.1 using just the stock theme but now the market is force closing constantly. :\

Looks like its nandroid time.

Before you do that go to the menu button, settings, applications, manage applications, all applications tab , find market and clear the cache , that has helped me in the past.

I tried to do that, but the market was not even showing up under there. Weird. Guess that's what I get for trying to install the new market. Guess I will stick with the old one for now until Team Defuse updates Fission.

Thanks though.
