I cant deal with the cursor freezing. I overpaid in the first place, and to pay all that money for the cursor to freeze all the time is ridiculous. I'll try to get another one and see if that ones better. If not, i guess I'll just have to deal with the phone (which is still awesome)

that sucks. ill be getting a laptop dock when it's less than half the going price

Would be better to, as I'm going to, wait until they update the software or firmware. Even at half the price, if it doesn't work right, no point in getting it. If they update and fix all the nagging issues that all the reviewers have mentioned, THEN it'll be worth getting.

I'm thinking of purchasing one tonight. Could someone sell me on the idea some more?

I dislike the fact that it's well, just a dock and the prices for em are extravagant.. but I love the idea of being able to have my apps in my lap. Ha. :]

I keep going back and forth between whether or not I want a laptop, or this dock.
I keep telling myself to get the dock cause I have a desktop and two laptops in our house already.. so, there's really nothing to lose right? ...besides money.

If you already have one, could ya sell me on the idea? Or, tell me how it's really not worth it and save me a couple bucks ha! :)

+ Does anyone know anything about the blockbuster app on the atrix? I JUST finally opened it today and am kinda thrilled, I'd love to be able to watch movies on my phone and to watch it through the dock seems a little more exciting on a punie screen ;]

..What about Netflix? Through the dock.

This post is so scattered. I'm really scatter brained right now I just have so many questions but am trying to hold back. :)

well it may not help you if you have your heart set on a dock but here's my thoughts on it. I look at all these items as gimmicky. They're not as functional as a full blown laptop but they try to emulate the convenience of a larger screen and keyboard. They're not as portable as a smartphone but they have the same features. Personally I'd rather have a full laptop + phone far more than a lapDOCK + phone. With my laptop

-I can install more robust and feature filled programs unavailable for use on a smartphone, both work based and play.

-have more raw power. A dual core phone is ok but nowhere near as powerful as what my laptop can do for pretty much the same cost as a lapdock.

- use programs that I normally would use to augment my phone (ie, you can't install Handbrake on your lapdock or phone).

-larger screen, higher quality construction

-more ports, DvD drive

-500 Gb - 1Tb is a heck of a lot more space than 48 ;)

Honestly The kind of person I envision actually benefitting more from a tablet/lapdock type of hardware than a laptop computer is a real estate agent who just wants something small and light to throw on the kitchen table to show his client a few house listings on the web. If it was for personal entertainment I'd rather have a laptop which holds more media and plays it better. If it was for heavy office use, well you just can't get smartphone apps that are as highly functional as PC software.
