Wireless Tether app and encryption

Hi folks. This app is incredible but I was wondering if it was
possible to setup proper WPA encryption for the hotspot. I see the
options of auto, iwconfig, and wpa_supplicant. I have no idea what
the last 2 are. Anybody? Thanks.

Wpa_supplicant is very robust with support for WPA-PSK, WPA2.

The standards are always being worked on and upgraded, but the old WEP (which wpa_supplicant also supports) is less secure, so having that choice is very good.

Iwconfig is about wireless interfaces (it's basically a linux command).

It might be a good idea for you to read up on those so you'll understand the ins and outs of them a bit. Public hot spots are known to be vulnerable to intrusions and exploits.. so the more you know the better chance you have of being secure.

Same question...why am I forced to 13 key ASCII?
