Root Inc Re-Eng Kernel??

Incredibly Re-Engineered Z v1.0.1

Just flashed this ROM on my DInc and absolutely love it. I never flashed a kernel so I'm on 2.6.32.27-incredikernel. The battery life is horrible horrible. I've seen some threads that say to use different kernels. Can someone help me with this. Thanks, Im a little scared to flash kernel. Yes I have nandroid backup

usually inkredikernels are pretty good. is it possible to use setcpu and set to smartass and set the cpu to 128 when not active? maybe that would help.

ps. flashing kernels are the same as roms. just erase the delvik cache ( i forget to sometimes and it still usually works well anyway) then select the zip from the sd card. couldn't be simpler.

I really screwed up now. Back and forth between two forums and try to do too much at one time, I partitioned my SD card and now trying to restore NANd. I have the recovery img's on my pc but don't know how to get them back onto my phone

Okay. To sideload the files connect to your PC while in recovery. Toggle USB (ms-usb) and wait for your SD to appear on your PC display. Open the folder in which you saved the contents of your sdcard before partitioning and copy the files back to your SD card. The flash and go. Wipe is not needed when flashing a kernel
