For all of you that don't know, the Ally IRC channel has moved to a new server, Androidia. The old Freenode server channel will become obsolete in a moth or so after everyone has migrated.

HERE's HOW TO MIGRATE:

If you don't already have an IRC client, you can use the Androidia webchat, located HERE

If you do have a standalone IRC client, like Xchat, go into the Network list menu, and add a new Server, titled Androidia. The server name is irc.androidia.net, and the port is 6667.
Since we are on a new server, you will have to re-register your nicknames. If you need instructions on how to do this, please refer to the second post.

We hope you will enjoy the new server, and we thank you for joining.

What a pointless move, this was as useless as making an attempt to move to XDA (which I actually agree with) but it's still useless. What was wrong with Freenode? It's good enough for a lot of other phones but I guess that just says it all when it comes to some of the devs on this phone. Cry about the community not being good but just continue to not care

If they didn't care they would have jumped ship long ago.

No one is forcing you off freenode. You can stay if you want, but freenode has server issues due them hosting numberous channels. Ive seen the ally channel netsplit a lot in the last month due to their network being so packed.

Androidia caters to one thing, Android.

Honestly, id prefer you stay on freenode with the amount of complaining you have done on the new androidia network channels. I dont see what is so hard about connecting to two different networks.
