A bit drastic but whatever. There are a ton of working roms out there, 2.2 and 2.3, sounds like you grabbed the leak that isnt out yet. Camera is fixable, so is brightness...anyhow

Go to the sticky rooting for dummies and to the unroot section. Basically flash the s-on tool, then run the ruu for your hboot, you'l see what i mean when you get there.

Reverting to stock due to a bad flash or rom is a bit on the drastic side but it is your phone so do what you want with it. As Matt said, go to the Rooting for Dummies guide and in the After Rooting section, there are instructions to get you unrooted and back to stock. Any questions, feel free to ask. We are here to help.

Thanks for the input... if you know a fix for the camera then i would be more than happy to just fix that... im just sick of reading forum after forum after forum... thanks again
Have you tried reflashing your ROM? I know it sounds silly, but I have used many ROMs and a reflash can fix most problems. It's a simply fix that most people overlook. If that doesn't work, there are tons of other ROMs out there. I'm very happy with Ava Froyo and Fresh Evo.

My suggestion would be to flash a stable Sense rom. Kings, Koni, Myns, and Mikfroyo are among the good ones. That should take care of the issues and give you a good rom to run as a daily. you can experiment after you get a good stable rom to go back to if you don't like what you flash.

A. Try a netarchy kernel, though if you fixed the screen brightness you may have already...? and this is likely when your camera failed to work...fyi im pretty sure it still takes pics even though the screen is white, point and shoot

B. There are a number of camera lib files needed for your camera to work, you would place them in the /system/lib folder and set permissions and reboot, see if that works (if you want to pursue this gb 2.3.3 leak which i dont suggest you do as its just a leak and not polished at all, then let me know i have a copy of the files that may fix it)

C. I hear the Miks gb 2.3.3 has a working camera, what rom are you on? Dl his rom and pull out the camera and all the lib files for the camera (basically anything that says camera anywhere in the name.so and one that says like libomxvidenc.so) and push them all to their respective files on your system (again if you want to pursue this we can go more in depth)

D. Honestly just flash a 2.2 rom or a stable gb 2.3 rom like kings gb or cm7 or evervolv...and wait till we get this leak going better or another leak.
