Hey, just got my first android phone and i have some issues.
The battery does not charge to 100% it charges to 99% and stops. Does not display charge complete. it just says charging.(left it on for 45min after it reaches 99%). Battery life comes for a day and a half or more depending on usage.

The other thing is it keeps restarting once every day by itself for no reason.

Need some help.

Hey varun,

Not to worry about this, when i first brought my samsung galaxy 5, for a couple of days, even i thought this was a problem, but infact the galaxy 5 reaches 99% very soon, as u said 45 min and then it takes around 2-3 hours to reach 100%, but it surely will reach 100%, u can leave it overnight and try, but the funny part is, once its 100% and as soon as u unplug it, it swings back to 99%, there is nothing wrong with this, however whats wrong is ( what some of the galaxy 5 users including me are facing) the galaxy 5 has some issues where at times u lock the phone (screen lock) the phone's display refuses to come on when trying to unlock, its either blank or a black screen with back light, let me know if u face such a problem.

Interesting i shall try leaving it on over night yo see if it gets to 100 although dont see the pt if its going to come back. How long do u leave it to charge?

regarding the unlocking problem i have faced it once where the screen does not come on look like the battery is out but came on after 3 4 tries.

Does your phone restart by itself?

yeah, sometimes the screen comes back but at other times it remains the same, i think its the problem with the model galaxy 5 cuz I got a replacement for my phone yesterday and it still has the problem :(. About restart, I cant say it never happened, it keeps happening once a while.
The thing is, about any application you use to monitor the battery status, its never accurate when charging, it always tend to jump to a higher value, but thats only a pseudo value and when u charge to a total of 100%, true it drops to 99 instantly but it stays in the 90% margin for a longer time, where as if u remove your phone as soon as it hits 99%, i would say, u have charged it to about 70% and hence the battery drops quicker.
Anyway, I feel i made a mistake in going for samsung, should have put in a bit more money and got the HTC wildfire.

Hi
I am facing few problem in my galaxy 5 mobile.
Mobile automatically getting restarted every day. Sometimes more often in a day.
I had visited Samsung Service centre and they reinstall software but the problem still exists. If I opened 2-3application simultaneously then it Will restart automatically.

Sometimes when its locked the display won't come back and had to remove battery and restart again.

The battery life is very bad. I charge it for around 4-5 hours. But battery last for 4 hours without using heavily. Once the battery charged mobile getting heated up.
After a single call mobile gettin heated up.
During power fluctuate mobile gets restarted by itself.

Not sure this problem exist for every one. I need to go back to service centre again.
Let me know if anyone got fixed this issue.

Regards.
