Root Cleaned rageagainstthecage... Is my droid still rooted?

So I connected my DX to my work computer via USB and didn't realize my work AV was set to auto-clean/delete by the IT guys...

OfficeScan deleted the file G:\Documents\apks\z4root.1.3.0.apk (res\raw\rageagainstthecage) because of AndroidOS_LOTOOR.A and cleaned the file res\raw\rageagainstthecage because of Android.C1E9BC2B

So I have 3 questions...

1. My phone still seems to be rooted since res\raw\rageagainstthecage was cleaned; root req programs still work. Would the clean affect the current root in any way? Should I re-root?

2. I know rageagainstthecage is wrongly classified as a virus by AVs, but I can't seem to find any info on Android.C1E9BC2B. Did I use an infected z4root.apk?

3. What does it mean that G:\Documents\apks\z4root.1.3.0.apk (res\raw\rageagainstthecage) was deleted? The apk is still there, so did it delete only the "infected" part of the apk? Is my apk still functional or do I need to DL another one.

If you still have the Superuser app in the app drawer, then you are still rooted. I would assume you are and what happened when you hooked your X to the pc, the Antivirus software scanned your sd card (then deleted the file) The only thing it probably did was delete Z4Root from your card. The sd card is the only thing the pc has access to, not the core files on your phone. No need to panic, its just if you should ever need to reinstall Z4Root again, you will have to redownload it to your SD card.

I don't know why z4root would have been flagged as a virus but the structure of Android may be such that files are unrecognizable to your PC AV and flagged as a virus.

May have been as simple as the word "Root" being in its name, hence it saw the file as a rootkit. IDK, 'puters are funny critters sometimes...

I had dl'ed the z4 apk to my work computer for transfer a while back to my sdcard, and the other day I walked in to a message that I had a trojan on my computer found by our antivirus software, when I looked at the file name I started laughing b/c it was z4root. I think it finds it b/c it is a program written as a hack to exploit the Android OS but windows AV thinks it's a virus.
