It's still cheaper than Sprint. You won't have Wi-Fi everywhere you go.

There are no overage charges on usage on VM's $50 broadband plan.

Of course they are, but if you read the page you linked to you will see that the unlimited accounts are capped at 2.5 GB. So after 2.5 GB you still get data but it is throttled.

Mine is getting throttled after 5bg, and I'll probably get did of it next month. I took a survey for virgin and it dealt with the cap, but specifically asked if I would consider keeping my service if the cap were removed. Maybe I'm not the only disgruntled mifi owner, and maybe they're rethinking this. I bought mine in november and it was great until that cap. Btw, if I change my service plan, I cannot go back to the $40 unlimited plan with the 5gb throttle. I wonder when they'll just kill that plan altogether. Paying cash for a device and having the carrier kill the plan really sucks. I'm starting to rethink my optimus v and my wife's intercept. How long before they change the droid plans too? I'm really not trusting our carrier right now.

This isn't meant to be your primary internet connection. It's too slow even before throttling for me to do that even if it was completely uncapped anyway.
