To-Do App w/Hierarchical to-do's

Looking for an Android To-Do application that handles hierarchical or nested to-do's (you know, "Finish Book" has seperate but nested "Spell Check" and "Create Index" entries, that sort of thing), and one that does not require syncing to any Google applications - syncing to desktop apps without using the big G as a pass-through is a bonus, but not required.

Freeware or commercial is fine; the only requirement is that the app is available for download and sideload outside the Market (or any other market like Amazon), and if commercial, vendor must accept non-Market payments (PayPal, CC, whatever).

GTasks by Dato can do this. It will sync with Google Tasks but I believe you can use it in "local" mode if you don't want to sync with Google Tasks.

Much thanks for the suggestion. I checked it out, and it is available off-Market, but 0.3.62a seems to have some install issues (it cycles around the "Update Needed" sending back to the same version). I can't get it to just run enough to get an idea how it works.

So far I've looked at Astrid, Got To Do, and ToDo Task Manager (Lite), and none of them can handle nested ToDos...

I use "Due Today" by Lakeridge Software. I think you can buy it direct from their website.

Lakeridge Software - Due Today - Purchase

It can also hook up to a Windows version afaik, though I have never tried it.

I think this matches your requirments??

EDIT:

Actually I have just had a play, I think it only does one level (one-sub task) but allows nested projects. I had thought you could do either (I've only just started using it again).

I also use Mobilse Notes which is a very simple, but elegant, notepad app that allows nested checklists. I haven't looked as to whether it is available outside of the market.
