Root Can I do the offical updates and still keep my phone rooted?

Alright my phone says there is an update available....but well I just rooted my phone. If I update will I keep root? I want to keep the phone as stock as possible (I'm kind of tired of hacking everything I own for once) just want the phone to be simple ya know? So yeah any tips?

You will lose root but keep s-off. That means you can flash another ROM and get root back, but that will overwrite the update.

Ah..... are their any good roms for the HTC? I mean I'm loving it so far and I really like the HTC sense but overall I dont' want to bother with custom roms just cuz I'm tired of hackign everything and I just got this rom working perfectly..... rather it's just how I like it.

You will lose root but keep s-off. That means you can flash another ROM and get root back, but that will overwrite the update.

I was under the impression for it to be s-off it had to be rooted?

Look for one called LeeDroid. It is basically like stock with Sense but the battery life is awesome on it.
