Track a user by location with their number?

We're having issues where supposely people are tracking and follow people in my company by typing in the cell phone number and it pulls up their location. What apps are doing this? This is way to scary!

Nothing comes to mind unless the people tracking/following have hardware that can plug into Verizon's systems to track phones based on cell tower triangulation (24/CSI/any show on TV style)

You can track by google latitude, but they must accept your request.

If it is linked to an enterprise server somehow, maybe it could be tracked.

For a blackberry on a BES, the BES admin of the company could have pretty much full control of the blackberry remotely.

VZW does have Field Force manager (or something like that). that works on some phones. it is subscription based, so if you company owns the phone and pays for it, they are watching you.

I recommend leaving the company phone when you go to that adult bookstore or strip club....or the boss's wife's house when he's on those long trips....problem solved....
