K. Newb here and I'm stumped, i'm on a stock Droid x. I downloaded and installed the gingerbread leak .588. Now that the .596 leak is out I want to upload that. Here's where I'm getting stumped. I went into system boot recovery and when I hit the search button nothing pops up for me to select the update zip.

Anyone got any ideas?

the search button is for froyo.. to boot into stock recovery you have to press the vol up and down at the same time for GB.

you need to root your phone, get the droid2 bootstrap and the two-part file from TBH, (which I think you said you have already)
It would also be a good idea to get the RSD lite files, the moto drivers and the .340 sbf just in case.
stock recovery will not work for this application, only bootstrap recovery works. you will know which recovery you're in by the color of the text Blue is stock, Green is bootstrap, you need to be in the green (bootstrap recovery) before you can load this upgrade.
