I rooted my evo using unrevoked. I went and downloaded the stock RUU(which I don't have a clue what that means)because with the rooting, the battery would get extremely hot and the phone would shut down. So I have reflashed it and it works fine, however, I need to take it to best buy for a warranty battery, but I dont have 2.2 on it. I have tried to find it on the internet, but no luck. Does anyone have the program that I can download and get 2.2 back on my phone? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

If you don't have 2.2 on it, what do you have? Are you looking to unroot before going to Best Buy? You can find rooted Stock ROM's here. Choose the one appropriate for your build (ie: 3.26xxxx, 3.70xxxx).

If you need to unroot, there are very detailed instructions in the ROOTING For Dummies + Extras sticky.

firmware 2.1 update 1
baseband version 2.05.00.06.10
kernel version 2.6.29-789bf291 htc-kernel@and18-2 #1
build number 1.47.651.1 cl195459 release-keys
software number 1.47.651.1
browser version webkit 3.1
pri version 1.90_003
prl version 01115

Your ROM is a bit outdated. Have you thought about flashing a 2.2 ROM? Your radio's are fine, so you're good there.

im downloading the 2.2 now. from what i see i wont be able to root it right?

There currently is no hboot version that is not rootable. Do you still have s-off in hboot or did you flash the s-on tool before running the ruu? If you still have s-off, can you get to recovery? If you can't get to recovery, we can get you set with that and then you can flash a rom of your choice or unroot to take it in for service. You can transfer the necessary files to the root of your sd card with a card reader if your usb is not working correctly.
