Root Going from OTA 596 Signed(standard) to Deodexed 596

Yeah. No need for .588. If you SBF back to stock Froyo just use method two and flash the two files for .596. No need to wipe the cache until after you flash .596. As a precaution, after you flash the .596 you can wipe data factory reset just to make sure everything is good to go. Then you can start to put all your stuff back in.

Just completed SBF'ing to Froyo, then straight to .596 with the 2 part method. Piece of cake.

After completing the SBF of Froyo, I had to enter stock recovery and format data/cache to stop the endless M symbol. To enter stock recovery press Down volume, Home button, power button till the triangle shows up, then push Up/Down volume buttons at the same time.
