Root Gingerbread update fail due to marketupdater.apk

I have a Verizon Droid X with version 2.2.1, and I am so eager to get the OTA Gingerbread update. However when I try, it fails and when I click the search button to find out why, it tells me that the marketupdater.apk is the reason.

My wife has a new Samsung Charge, and I saw the new market on hers and pulled it over the other day... so that is the cause of my problem.

I went to the manage applications section in the settings and "uninstalled updates" to the market app, but the update still fails due to the same error!?

Anyone have any bright ideas, or a copy of the official market version that is supposed to be installed on 2.2.1? Thanks!

Flash it? Not sure what you mean there...
I just tried doing OTA update through Verizon today.
Actually, after looking at the path in the error, I checked to see if the file MarketUpdater.apk was even in /system/app, and it was not. So, I put a copy of that file in there, and am redownloading/installing the OTA update to see if it works this time.

Thanks,
Jaga
