Help san fransisco cant search in google and wont download apps

HI sorry if this has been covered before but cant get the above mobile to download any apps or click on any of the search results in the google search bar any help would be great .

some info about the phone its 5 weeks old and was unblocked the day i got it by myself for my network ( vodafone) and been working fine untill last night i have rebooted my hub several times without any luck( bt home hub) the handset was rooted by myself with no problems 4 weeks ago and i had installed many apps without any problems i have done a factory data reset and lost all the apps settings ect its a gen1 device running 2.1 cheers for any help frank ps just set up the vodafone mms and the phone is sending pictures text ect.

Sounds like a network issue with vodafone? Did you call the carrier to see if they're having network issues?

Have you tried re-entering the wifi passkey.. the stock ROM is notoriously buggy

Yes a few times but still nothing can get on to you tube via the app no problem it just seems to be a google problem i think. It just wont do a search atall going to set up another google acount to see if that works.

HI all realised that i can get on the internet when i press and use the microphone icon and speak now option but still cant download any apps ringtones wallpapers ect. or hit and type in the search area and I have done a factory data reset god knows how many times sync my google acount ect changed the @googlemail to @gmail ect ect but to be honest this little phone is getting on my tits
It worked perfect for 5 weeks without problem whatsoever then all of a sudden this.

Notoriously buggy in what respect? Do you mean wifi buggy or the whole rom.
I have been running the stock rom for ages now (6 months!!) and have not had a single issue or found anything "buggy".
Runs smoothly and EVERYTHING works 100% with my stock rom.
