OK, my biggest problem is that I am showing duplicate icons on my home screen for Contacts, Market MetroBackup,Mail@Metro. How did I create this mess and how can I fix it. You think that if I can figure out how to us QuickOffice I should be able to correct this problem. Anyway, please help...

To get rid of the icons on the home screen you just long-press (touch and hold without moving your finger) until the little trash can appears at the bottom of the screen, then without lifting your finger, drag the icon you don't want there. How you got duplicates in the first place? I'd suspect a moment of hesitation in the app drawer. You see, if you touch and hold an app's icon in the app drawer, Android assumes you want to place it on your home screen so, if there is room, it does.
