first thing you want to do is download anycut from the app market and follow these instructions

once downloaded open any cut click activity and then scroll down to LTE Functionality test click that

this will place a app on your home screen once this lte Functionality app is on your home screen click that and at the top you will see Lte on and Lte off this is where you can turn 4g off and on to save battery

remember after every phone call inbound and outbound, every power off and power on, and airplane mode on/off usage your 4g will come back on

this is to help you with battery power it will last 50% longer with this method

The first thing you need to do is download the free app "anycut". Press ans hold an empty space on your home screen and select "shortcut", then select "activity", go down to "LTE Funcionality test" and select it. You will now have a shirtcut to it on your home screen. Open it and press "TURN OFF" when you dont need the 4G on as that will at least double your battery life. Press "TURN ON" when you want to use 4G.

Welcome 954peewee

First can we get some additional info. Go to your settings and click on your about screen and tell us what the info is from the last four sections. You may not need to use Anycut as much or at all if phone has been updated.Let me explain, they updated some of the phones and after the update a lot of people have reported better battery performance. So Anycut may be unnecessary. If you need more info on this update look here :http://androidforums.com/samsung-galaxy-indulge/335507-version-update.html Only about the first 3 pages are relevant. It started to get off subject after that.

Overall we have a good phone. Its not perfect but what really is.

The indulge is not that bad with its only real problem being the battery life. I have looked around some forums and other higher end phones for other carriers have the same problem stacked on top of constant reboots, crashes, near instant battery drain and a slew of other issues. Were not so bad off but its still a pain.

LOL i really wish my phone had the luck of the update but no dice i got the update and yes the battery is better but in all honesty you still only get about 8 to 10 hours on a full charge with 4g on the entire time depending on use and with lte off it has jumped up to about 15 hours

i just wish samsung had tested alittle harder under actual usage conditions you know what im saying maybe then they would have actually realized some of the quirks this phone has LOL

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. I get 15+ hours every day with out Anycut.I have not used Anycut at all since update. There is probably several factors in why others don't benefit and some that do.I also keep a tight eye by observing my network traffic and identifying APPs that stay active and call out automatically. I wish i could be more helpful in finding the reason for the difference in battery performance between one person and the next.

After doing all the changes to my Indulge (rooting, wifi tether, removing bloatware) and using Anycut I can positively say "I love my Indulge".

Yesterday, I got 28 hours of battery life (and still some left) with few phone calls, messages, serving web and switching LTE on/off (mostly off). Yes, I do have the update (817 area code).

Only drawback (and that could be my laptop or has nothing to do with the phone itself), when I use the Indulge as a WIFI Hotspot I get good download speed (over 3Mbps most of the time), but it takes a long time to load pages especially youTube or other video pages. Could it be a setting I am missing?

A big "Thank you" to all you superguys that helped us technical challenged to teach us the potentials of the Indulge.

I can't tell you how many smiles I had when paying my phone bill versus my wife's who is on Verizon and I know she is jealous when I show her all the new tricks we can do :)

A very happy forum member, Eric.
