Ever looked at the light seepage and got pissed off

Going to ask a dumb question. What is light seepage? Either my phone doesn't have it or it doesn't bother me one bit.

I can't say that it bothers me too much, but it is kind of weird that they allowed the bolt to be released with such an obvious leakage.

I can only see the light seepage if I look from the top down. I never use my device in that manner so why does anyone care?

If I hold my phone in landscape in a dark room I can notice just a little light seepage. From what I've read some people's phone has a bad flew job on that little plastic piece below the soft keys that let's light pass easily

I try not to let it bother me. I dont want to find little mundane problems when i paid 240 dollars this phone. I just take it for what it is.

If I'm holding my phone at a certain angle I see it...but it really doesn't bother me. It's not like my phone performs any worse with a small bit of light leakage...hell, I never notice it 99% of the time.

I am a premium retailer, and have seen it on only one phone, and that was a certified like new handset. I would hardly call it light sewage, as it doesn't take anything away from the screen. The only time you can see it is in the dark.

Its an improper gluing/seal of the screen to the phones frame at the bottom causing a gap that lets light from the bottom 4 keys LEDs show through between the phones frame and the screen. This was also a common problem on the EVO thats why its kind of surprising they didn't fix it on the Bolt.

Does anyone know of a case that will cover that part of the phone? The case I have on it doesnt

There is a little on mine. There is also screen bleed on my iPad 2. Doesn't bother me at all.

I think some of us need to work on our OCD...

Mine is quite bad. I see it from under the home button and back button..I don't have to tilt the screen at all. I am concerned about dust getting under the screen mostly but after reading the recertified threads I'm scared to exchange it.

Eh, a couple pin hole size leaks that can only be seen in complete darkness at certain angles doesn't really bother me..

My everyday case, the Ringke, covers it up anyway so unless I have my hardcore case on, Active X, I never see it.

I wish people would post pictures of this. I always hear people complain but have yet to see a single picture...

Only if I tilt the phone I notice it. That only happens .010% of the time I use my phone so it doesn't bother me at all.

The video was very helpful...worked for my phone and I could see the light seepage at any angle day or night..very pleased with the DIY fix and I don't have to take my chances on an exchange

meh it doesn't bother me. However, it makes one wonder how/why HTC released this phone with it occurring on so many phones, they had to notice, right? ah whatever though it's really not a big deal

Partly because of your typo and part unclear wording I can not tell if you mean the Silicone is or is not possibly harmful to a mobile device. Used in the way shown this absolutely is not harmful to a mobile device. Siicone is often used in similar applications on mobiles. Don't worry.
