Data toggle to 2g

I tried to use this app called CPU Tuner because a friend said it could toggle data to 2g while the screen is off. I thought that was save battery, so I tried it. But the toggle doesn't work on the TB because the developer hasn't worked on it yet with LTE. So, I am wondering if there is another app to toggle the TB to 2g. I am assuming not because even through #*#*4636*#*# I can only get 3g. Just curious if there is another option.

I would recommend removing the CPU Tuner app and try the following:


Go to Settings --> Power --> Power saver settings --> enable "Disable background data". This will shut off the radio chip that controls all data (3G, 4G, WiFi) and will leave 1X on for voice and SMS while your phone is in standby.


Download the LTE OnOff app to disable LTE (4G) when it is not needed even while your phone is awake.
