I'm starting this thread to hopefully find the apps that are conflicting with Gingerbread and causing battery drain on the Droid 3. So far I have removed:
  1. Last.FM
  2. Google Voic
  3. Phandroid
  4. Google Music
  5. Facebook

My idle time has already begun to drop. I'll see if this persists through lunch and then start adding them back in to pinpoint the troublesome application. So far I don't have a solution for the incredibly high cell standby usage.

Poor coding, changed API but the app was never updated, etc. I was getting lower idle times after I removed them, but now the idle time is back up in the 40s. Might be the starbucks app. Either that or it's one of the blur elements or the bloatware. An update better come soon. The cell standby use and the idle time are ridiculous.

Shutting down the GSM and being on my 3rd day now has made a world of difference with me. 13 1/2 hours off the charger. 20 or so texts through out the day, couple of calls about 5 minutes each, 30 minutes or so on Twitter and email. Still at 70%. Could be better but at least it is worlds better than the first 2 days.
