Switching from blackberry...Android with best keyboard?

I have been using a Blackberry for a while now. Thinking about jumping to Android, but my biggest concern is the keyboard. Blackberry's keyboard is far superior to any other smartphone's keyboard I've seen.

Do any Android phones have keyboards that rival the BB? Androids that are still relatively high end?

You need to try out keyboards in person for yourself. Even BB users don't all agree on which BB model has the best keyboard. The word best is always highly subjective, regardless of topic.

You may want to try some devices with virtual keyboards and different keyboard apps. I thought I wanted a physical keyboard coming from a BB 8310 but the Droid' physical keyboard is so terrible that I never use it. The stock virtual keyboard was also terrible IMO but Swype made all the difference for me.

I have a BB for work and support BBs for everyone else here and before my inspire I used a very blackberry-looking blackjack II winmo machine as my personal phone. I liked the bj2 keyboard a bit better than any of the BBs but I thought like you, I really wanted an android but really didn't like virtual keyboards.

With no real options for androids on ATT to choose from with a phys keyboard and being tired of waiting someone finally convinced me I should just make the jump and give it a try with touchscreen.

I did, got my inspire and I had typing in landscape mode down good in couple days, couple weeks later and I'm good in portrait mode too. That was with the htc keyboard, I'm using GB keyboard now and it's probably even easier to pick up.

yea if you are upgrading then i would suggest using your trial period and trying out a software keyboard.

I WAS in your EXACT same boat until i met the keyboard on the Inspire (Stock HTC keyboard). I was/am coming from BB and said I ONLY want a phone with a phys kb. Best ones out there are 1. G2/DesireZ 2. Epic 3.Sidekick4G 4. Droid 2 5. Backflip (but a TERRIBLE phone otherwise). But, like i said the VBoard on the Inspire is truly awesome!

note: I have ZERO experience with DroidPro, Droid 3 and Moto XPRT
