I was wondering if anyone could help me with some questions I have.
I want to know if its possible to turn my phone (and future tablet) into a control that pretty much controls my entire room. Idk if that sounds crazy or not, this is my 1st time joining a forum on Androids.

I'm Talking About Some Ironman Tech lol, just wanna control everything!

So to go more into detail, here's a list of things I kind of want/ hope to achieve.

I want to know if its possible for my Android phone control the following:

The Definite list: (What I mainly want)
-My computer (Currently trying Win Remote- NO IDEA what im doing)
. -Is it possible to turn on and off my computer from my phone?
. -The Itunes on my computer
. -The windows media player/center
. -other goodies

-My Xbox ( Dunno if its a long shot here lol)
. -Pretty much the media on it I guess.
. -If its possible to turn on the xbox from my phone, that would be insane!

-My PS3?
. -Same as Xbox

The Exageration list!:
-My Air Conditioner?
. -Just wanna know if its possible to turn it on and off from my phone/tablet.

-The Lights in my room (I have a big imagination)
. -Basic On/Off switch.

-My TV?
. -Turn On/Off
. -Control the cable box?
. -DVR

I can't really think of anything else at the moment, and I know that about 75% of this is probably impossible, I'm just putting it out there in hopes that maybe I'm wrong and it is possible.

I know I'd have to get TV's and other things that are compatible and stuff, just give me what ever you got!

Thanks!! :D

Note: I don't use any of these apps. I found them all by searching on Google. Often, simple Google searches can help you find answers more quickly than people are able to respond on a forum.

This for ps3: Control your PS3 with BlueputDroid for Android | xda-developers

For XBox: Control Your Xbox Media Center with Official XBMC Remote for Android

For devices other than your computer, it would depend on the device. Your android phone doesn't have the hardware to work as a traditional infrared remote (like a TV remote or A/C remote, which requires line of site). However, if your other devices have networking capabilities, it's possible it could be done.

This actually covered alot of what I expected! The xbox and ps3 links were great! Havent checked out the apps one yet. But this was great!

As I stated, I'm currently trying to use Win Remote because it is designed for windows 7 (which is my OS). I was wondering if you could take a look at it and tell me what you think and possibly how to use it?
