Heyas folks I'm currently a Verizon customer with about 5 weeks left left on my contract. A local B&M store is having a killer Labor Day sale on the Triumph but it's only for new Virgin Mobile customers(have to activate it there in the store).

My question is, can I activate the Triumph on Monday and then still change the number to my old Verizon number after my contract with them is finish?

With only 2months left on a contract, i would just port my # over now............the ETF can't be as much, call and ask verizon how much it is. You may loose the price difference though.

My contract isn't up until march with them, my etf would have been $250.

I know you can change your # whenever you want on virgin but i don't know if you can change it to a # you currently have already active.......you could call and ask them.

The Triumph would have to be under 30 bucks for me to even consider getting it.. according to the reviews and all of the problems people seem to be having with it, that's a great price for the phone.

If I were in your shoes, I would seriously consider getting the Optimus V from Virgin Mobile as it's more stable and reliable. It's hands down their best phone to date.

As for the number.. you can have it ported over as soon as you get the phone. It doesn't take too long for them to get it done for you.

Yes, you can.

When I became a VM customer, I did exactly what you are describing. When the time comes, call Virgin Mobile customer service, ask for a porting specialist then tell them you want to port in your Verizon number, using the Verizon number to replace whatever number VM assigns you when the phone is activated.
