I've had my S2 for about 6 weeks now, and have been using the stock TouchWiz interface.
I decided to download Go Launcher over the weekend, and I have to say, I wish I'd done this from the word go (pardon the pun)
I'm very impressed with it, having so much more flexibility and options.

Wondering what do you all use?
If your using Go Launcher, I'm curious as to if there are any themes you think are worth downloading?

I've been using GoLauncher since around a week after I bought my phone. I love it for its customization options, visual features (including the various nifty animations when changing home screens or scrolling through the app list) and home screen management.
Coupled with WidgetLocker for very quick access to my most important apps and widgets, it's made my phone a lot more user friendly - and in my opinion more visually attractive - than the default TouchWiz.

Hi,

I just installed Go Launcher at the weekend - I only installed it because I wanted to use their animated weather wallpaper, so I got a bit of a shock when it took over my whole phone and made everything different!

But straight away I preferred the look and the way you can customise so many more aspects, so I'm keeping it :)

One problem I have though, is that when I open my contacts, everything looks the same but the bar above the search (which had groups, favourites etc) has disappeared.

Do any of you know why this has happened or how I can get it back?

Ta x

i've found it to lag then freeze, so uninstalled

anyone else had this and found a cuase/solution?

It worked very well and smooth for me, but for some unknown reason it doubled up the battery drain.
I like it allot and wanted to keep it, so I went through factory restore, re install and the like... regardless, it wouldn't help and would cut my battery life in half. So I had to get rid of it. Once I removed it, battery came back to normal.

But for GB, it still is, my fav launcher. While Nova Launcher will be the ICS preferred launcher.

Am using Go Launcher and its still there. Did you download the Go Contacts app or something like that? If its stock, it should still be there.

No I didn't mess with anything like that...

I just went into contacts via the app drawer instead of the icon on the screen, and the groups/favourites came back again :)

Now they are there even when I open contacts with the icon at the bottom of the screen too...

Weird glitch I suppose!

I love Nova launcher! It looks enough like stock but with loads of customizations etc. Only issue is a few things don't work so well (Flipchart, active apps widgets etc and unread counts for anything other than gmail).

Hopefully get even better with time. Tempted to try Go Launcher after reading this thread though....

I've used go launcher both on my s2 and old Desire and always revert to it if I try something else. I'm currently using the steel blue theme.

The only issue I've ever had with battery usage is if any widgets are left on the touchwiz screens "underneath" go launcher. And I'm paranoid about battery drains !
