It's hard to get a sense of whether a lot of people are having issues or whether they're just the most vocal. I'm planning on buying tomorrow, so if people who have already purchased could rate the Bionic from 1-10 I'd appreciate it, as I'm sure others would too.

Thanks!

It is THE fastest phone I have ever had, both processing and data wise.

I have yet to really see how the battery goes, but so far so good.

The ONLY annoying thing is it is somewhat hard to hold in one hand and touch the far top side of the screen, although upon retrospection I have noticed that I VERY rarely ever use one hand, and if I do it is mainly to text/take a look at some widget. If I play a game or type a long message it is always in landscape with 2 hands.

For my initial impression, I'd give it an 8 as well. It's def fast, fast as all hell really. Buttery smooth. Put LauncherPro on it and there isn't a more fluid UI out there. It does everything well. The speaker could be louder, but it's def adequate. My only real complaint is the pixelation of the screen, and it's not that it's terrible, but it's noticeable. However the fact that pentile helps diminish the display's impact on the battery life, and that you can see it almost perfectly in direct sunlight, it's acceptable.

I rated my bionic a 9. But I would give it a 9.5 easily for the price I got it for. :D Only thing that needs improvement would be call volume so far. Speed, signal, build, screen, battery life are all excellent in my book. You can't do any better with this phone on VZW...right now.

But then again, I've only had it for a few hours.

I would say that its like an 8/10. There are definite improvements that could be done but the Bionic is quite a solid phone. I think 8 is a fair number. 7 would be a little to low for me yet 9 is definitely too high. I think I would reserve a perfect 10 to the upcoming DROID Prime if it turns out to be what I suspect... best screen, superb performance, cleaned up OS, solid battery life, and very well built.

IMO, I think 8 is fair but a little too fair which makes it unfair...lol. I would rate the droid charge as an 8 or 8.5 but not the bionic. I have to give it a half point to a point higher in rating because of LTE coupled with better battery life and processor? It has its flaws but being the best phone in a carriers lineup has to equate in the rating, no? Even just a little?
Maybe I'm a generous critic. Haha.

Yank, I'd have to agree with everything. Honestly, this thing just smokes my OG in speed, both app opening and webpage opening (which it should!). My only complaint is the screen. I'm really not a huge fan. Why it's really worse than the OG's is beyond me.

I would say between a 7-8, I don't know if I can nail it down to a single number. But that range seems fair. It's very fast, haven't seen any lag other than when I play angry birds and the screen isn't so great except it does help battery life which is a wash. In regards to the iPhone/Apple comment I don't think that is a very objective comment either. I have a struggle deciding which OS to go with b/c they both have such awesome plus/neg hereditary to the OS. I'm debating if I love this phone enough to not go back to my iPhone 4 since the 4G signal ends about a block or two away from my house and I don't know if I want to pay 600.00 for a phone that may have something better in a month. I may just use what I have and hold out for the prime. The Bionic rocks and it's very solid! Just not sure if I want to justify 600 when something significantly better could be around the corner. If it doesn't come out I may just buy the Bionic again anyway.

8.5/10.

Mine has been working perfectly out of the box, and I haven't seen any issues, yet. I've been very impressed with the battery life and continue to be shocked by how much my display isn't using in battery stats (though visually, I prefer the amoled displays). It's a nice looking piece of hardware and seems to be mated well to the software, but there are odd bits about blur which I don't like (nothing excessive, but it does lack some features that I grew accustomed to with Touchwiz). Some sort of charge indicator would've been nice and perhaps a relocation of the power button, but these are minimal.

Less bloat and an unlocked bootloader would also be on my desirable list. Otherwise, I'm very fond of my new device and it appears most are pretty impressed with it, as well.
