Cydia to Android

first off i hope this is the right area and second im not hear to bash i do own an iphone 4 and i just want some feedback. ive had the 3g and the i4. im a person that likes change every now and then and thinkin about this coming up im thinking about an android. ive never owned an android but i always used cydia for endless tweaks and themes and my friend told me that android pretty much has all that stuff already. so for my tweaks and themes can android do that? i figured id come here and actually ask people who own androids instead of calling support lines about it. appreciate all the feedback

Yep. The market has a lot of what cyida offers. Android can do a lot of customization (unrooted) compared to iOS. Though, if you decide to root your device, you'll find even more tweaks available to you.

There's no reason for Cydia on Android as the Google Market has no restrictions on what can and can't be sold.

Actually, they do not allow adult material on the market. Please no porn is bad/ Me loves me porn tangents. They simply do not allow what is legal and most certainly, it is their business.

Apple/iOS: locked down so nothing that is not blessed by Apple is allowed. You must pay to play if you want to develop iOS applications and Apple will not allow things like Widgets. If you are not in the Apple Market, you simply do not exist for the vast majority of iOS users.

Android: very amenable to themes and tweaks and no root needed. Almost anything goes in the Android Market.

Apple/iOS/Jailbroken: say goodbye to Apple and their "One Store/One Device for the Planet" market. We have Cydia as a front end if you will to many repositories, where great things await you.

As well as stolen apps, but we shall not discuss that here.

Android: many markets and if you are a Dev, it is easy to install apps outside of the Apple Market.

It's all good.

I much prefer the android way of doing things.... cydia still seems weird to me... not to mention having to use boss paper AND winterboard to get my ipod how i like it. Android does things better, period. If I want a theme or something I just download it, like in a normal phone. None of this silly faffing about reloading springboards & what not. Also, I feel iOS is lacking a lot of stuff that should really be on a stock non-jailbroken device, like "Activator" (we have widgets for most of that pre installed on stock non-rooted androids).

OK, so there is more than one place to get apps / themes etc, but most like app brain or blackmart will point to the market anyway.

so I was wondering if anyone can help me.
Will I be able to use like any of the iphone themes and and such on Android?
I have alot of themes, widgets, and such for iphone, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to use it on the Android phone.

I've no idea what iOS/Cydia offers, but Android has plenty of free and paid widgets, launchers, themes and much more in the Play Store. If you're willing to root (depending on what device you purchase) there's often much more you can do if there's developer support for said device.
Like others have said, a stock phone still has the potential to be all your own with plenty of tweaks.

Sry to revive an old thread. Biggest reason for a cydia android version would be to cut through all the junk apps on the play store to try and get to the useful apps for rooted devices. Last I rooted my tablet it was a real pain in the ass to find anything via the play store and I winded up crawling through tons of msg boards try and find useful stuff to customize my tablet. Having one spot where everything rooted related would cut through a lot of bull.
