here is Hashcodes Blog directly:

*Be sure that you are rooted (obviously)
*Be sure that you can install non-market apps (Menu > Setup > Applications > Unknown Sources should be checked
-Install the App Bootstrapt app (.87 version so far)
-Run app, hit install
-It should automatically place a check in Recovery Active, if not, check it
-You should be good to go, Power Down
-Hold M hard key, Hit Power.
-White screen comes up instantly, use volume down (ONLY) to select last option "BP Tools"
-Use volume up (ONLY) to select.
-You will see the standard boot screen, then Clockwork Mod will come up (now you can use up or down to move selection and power button to select options)
At this point, go to Backup & Restore, then Nandroid Backup, I suggest typical backup to External SD Card, because you can remove the backup and place it on your computer. But thats all up to you on choice.
Note: known possible bug in stock launcher, if you hit it try another launcher like LauncherPro, ADW Launcher, etc.
You can only install it, and do nandbackups and some other things. NO Custom ROM flashing.... just yet. Almost there.
Definitely worth installing and doing a nandbackup! NOW, I can finally delete crap

tehsusenoh---- you may want to update your original post for people to have easy access to Hashcodes blog, etc. Your thread may get busy now that CWM is out and working.
I just did a nandbackup... my security blanket is now in place! I must say it does take a hell of a few minutes longer than im used to. So be patient when your doing the backup.
