With this phone, I've noticed that the wallpapers I try to use or make don't always end up the highest quality. I made one specifically in Photoshop with the correct dimensions and ppi, yet when i used it on my bionic it turns out all pixely. Is this just an effect of the pentile display? Or is it something else? I will attach the wallpaper for you to take a look at.

Thanks in advance!

The color depth is set at 8-bit. I tried saving it as a 8-bit png, the same results. Same thing with a jpeg and setting the colors to cmyk instead of rgb (whether this does anything different I don't know).

I'm beginning to think that it is a fault with the display, not the image.

Possibly idk. What I do know is I've loaded 50+ wallpapers from my Incredible on to the DB. Some that looked good on the Inc look bad on the Bionic. And some that look good on the Inc still look good on the DB. The papers I'm speaking of are ALL gradient papers with blended colors and grays similair to your posted paper...no pictures/art/etc....

I don't know what to make of it other than the bit depth or like you say the screen tech in the DB. I call all this "color/gradient banding" idk what the correct terminolgy is though.

Either way I was a little disappointed when I couldn't use some old papers due to the "banding" on the DB, but the clarity and brightness in sun has more than made up for it :)
