Searching for my perfect tablet

I have an HTC Desire HD (new user). I will be doing some travelling and want to Skype with my family and friends without having to carry around my old laptop. I'm not very savy with these things and hope to get a few suggestions. I will be using it for e-mail, travel info (tripadvisor etc), maps, skype and a few simple games. So far I've been looking at the Samsun Galaxy 10.1 and the Acer Iconia A500 but have heard good things about the ASUS Transformer.

I think I'll be getting the Transformer soon, it looks pretty good. Should hopefully come down in price with the impending release of the Transformer 2 also.

Don't see any reason why not, it works on most other devices, the folks in the Transformer forum should be able to tell you more though: ASUS Eee Pad Transformer - Android Forums
