Use App Quarantine(found in the market) to quarantine any system app. If everything acts normal after Quarantine then you should be able to delete. Titanium Backup has an option to freeze an app.

I personally first backup just about anything I want to uninstall, using TitaniumBackup. If it can't be uninstalled in the normal way, I follow the steps laid out in the Barebones section of the CyanogneMod Wiki:
Barebones - CyanogenMod Wiki
Which includes instructions for uninstalling via adb or the terminal, as well as the differnce between system/non-system apps.

Note- if you have any of the 2sd scripts going, you may need to use their instructions.

Could you change the color of the clear button for the next release? The green button with grey text is really ugly and impossible to read. It would look better with black text with the green background or just put it back to the default color.

Yes, that color change was an accident. It will be fixed in the next release.

Used the gapps that Bob Zhome linked. Tightened the newest build right up. With the V6 Supercharger set at 9 and then 12, this ROM is the smoothest,fastest,tightest ROM I've had on my "V" so far. Will stress test and check functionality when I get off work. Thanks again for all the hard work and great support JerryScript and everybody else whose info helped.

Oh and by the way, so it's safe to install the newest gapps without formatting dalvik-cache, cache partition or anything?

You don't need to format anything when installing the latest gapps, but you should wipe cache and dalvik-cache. If you then have any issues, then you would have to format data, and possibly system, but only if you have problems.

Yup, that's a Rover theme, I use the cyan Rover theme, similar to his blue one, but cyan instead, and it does fix the green clear button.

After trying to get the recent update of iho and the theme i i picked up some big problems..


1.I cant add my gmail account(GMail wont open crashes when clicked)

2.Cant go into the market, when clicked asks me to add a account then sends me to the home screen.

3.When adding an account from contacts google is not a choice(its not there)


could use my backup...but only one i have is the unrooted backup

What i have done to try and fix it.

Thought it was the gmail app. so i deleted it and since i cant re-download from market i got an apk and ran it...crashed

tried from youtube(log in) "there was a problem authenticating"

Did i do something wrong here,and have to redo everything like reflashing gapps etc? or is this a easy fix?

This has been mentioned several times in the past few pages, you need to flash gapps after flashing BACKside ROM (most of the time)

Mine did

everytime I try to apply roverblue.apk using zipthemer I get: "Can't find a theme control file in /sdcard/zipthemer/roverblue.apk" and if I select Build ii! I get "load some themes first". Any help would be appreciated.
