How many contacts can I have?

I have a Motorola Triumph that I would like to dump. I would like to go to Optimus, but the Best buy Website tells me I am limited to 500 contacts. I use this for business and currently have 2600+ contacts on my triumph (My CRM syncs through google, and that is where the contact info is). The only reason I bought the Triumph instead of the Optimus was this issue, but I do not like the Triumph.

Am I limited to only 500 contacts? Any help is appreciated.

I would figure that would be an Android limit and not a phone limit. I did read a while back that someone had 7000+ contacts on his android. Dunno what phone he was running though.

Thanks for the info. I went ahead with the Optimus V. I will post here if it has any problems with 2600+ contacts.

SO I dumped the Triumph and moved to the Optimus V. What a great change. Hardware buttons instead of laggy software buttons and just one of the most noticeable differences. 1/3 the price and so much better.

Anywho, I now have 2716 contacts loaded onto it, complete with notes and other info. No problem at all. I guess Best Buy's website has it wrong.
