Nov 11th not happening

Where are you getting this information that UPS and FedEx won't deliver on the 11th? I just checked FedEx's year end holiday schedule and they don't mention being closed on the 11th. I also run a mailing services department at a major corporation and we always get deliveries on days we are open, and we are open that day... This is a holiday that banks and the USPS are closed, but not FedEx or UPS, they can't afford it because it's not a holiday observed by all companies...

I called and asked, and they said they will deliver to stores etc, but do not deliver to residents on that day. Said will deliver on the Monday after that will be the 14th.

I just gave them a call to check in. From what I was told it is a normal business day and I should expect to see the package delievered that day... Seems we have conflicting information... I guess we will have to see

Ahahaha! well this is important! I hope that the first call you made was just a mistake on the CSR's end! lol! That would be a real bummer if they didn't deliever.

I am going by the lady I just spoke to, she seems to know what she was talking about. The first person I talked to seem to not know anything, was second guessing etc.

So I hope she is right cause I am off that Friday for the Holiday Federal employee. Yahoo
But would of liked it this week though. :(

One would think that the pre-orders would come earlier than the release at the store. I know i paid upfront Thursday October 27, at 8 a.m. (Eastern) and the Verizon rep that took my order stated Nov. 3 or 4th as a delivery date but he was not 100%. However if this is the case (11/10 or later) then I have learned a very good lesson from Verizon "never preorder from Verizon, there NO! benefit in doing so". In fact pre-ordering may determine that you receive the phone later than the ones who have not which is bush league on Verizon's part considering you committed to them to buy this phone early, however this is pure speculation at this point.

Usually you do get it before in store launch I know with iphones and the inc it was that way. I would assume this would be the same to otherwise there is no benefit of preordering.

According to a post to which I responded to on another thread, I will be canceling my pre-order and picking this up in store.

You might want to call Verizon before you cancel your preorder. A co-worker of mine who is debating between a iphone and razr called to ask about availability of both devices in the store come 11.10. The rep told him that due to the preorders they do not anticipate any in store purchases of the Razr until early December....

I find that hard to believe. verizon wants this phone why would they have no stock for almost a month?

Well, that really grinds my gears..

He said the rep mention they had more preorders than expected. Keep in mind though that many times people have gotten different stories from Verizon reps about things in the past so who really knows what the truth is....

Plus if that is the case why still allow preorders if they don't have stock? Prob just trying to get you to preorder to be locked down.

That would be a huge mistake. Spend all those marketing dollars and not have any product available.

Thats crazy

I would never pre-order a phone!

Now if a phone was released about 2 weeks early through internet and also tele-sales, and I would get it before it hit stores, that's one thing. But to order a phone without having a hard release date to me is pointless. Its not as if this is the iphone and they'll be lines out the door. Vzw getting a little ridiculous IMO...
