Root [MOD] 1% Battery icons for CM7 11-19 Tickerguy build

Hey is it possible to change the color of the circle battery. I have a Red theme and it would be awesome if I could make it match the theme.

Sure, you can open the framework-res.apk file in a Zip utility and look in the \res\drawable-hdpi folder for all of the png files. You can color them to whatever color you like and then add them back in to the apk file--make sure you don't use any compression when adding the files back. You don't need to decompile the apk at all since the regular png files don't need to be decompiled.

Just something I noticed. When the battery level reaches 20%, the battery icon goes back to the original bar thing. Then, when it reached 19%, the circle icon came back. Is that supposed to happen?

You're using the green circle mod, right? I just checked the 11-6 zip and all of the xml code seems correct in it as well as the png files. Are you using the latest one? If not, download and reflash it again.

Yes I am. And it is the latest I'm sure. It also happened when the battery reached 100%. I will do that and see if it helps. I am running a theme in the theme chooser. Does that conflict with your mod?

EDIT The theme is messing with your mod. When I switched to System, the mod wrked perfectly. Hmmm, I may have to add the mod jpegs to the theme apk.

I see, that might be your best solution is just incorporate it into the theme's files also.

I was wondering if you could help me. I added the PNG's to the theme's apk. I recompiled and it worked fine, but when I try to sign the APK I get an error and it doesn't sign. I've tried installing and it doesn't install either. When I tried signing it using an app on my phone, it said that it signed correctly but it still won't install. Any ideas?

Which APK? an app? or one of the system apk's? If it's a system apk, you don't want to sign it. And your best bet is to just either push it into place using adb or put it in a flashable zip and flash it.

I am guessing it is for a theme chooser .apk? Those you do not want to sign (same as if you were editing the framework-res.apk).

OK so I recompiled the APK and when I go to install it on my phone using a file explorer it seems like its installing then says "Application not installed"

I've never used one of those theme chooser themes... but if that's what you're trying to put together, shouldn't you be installing it using the theme chooser and not the file explorer?

OK, let me try to explain better. Its the Red Remix theme. There's an apk though that houses all of the files of the theme. What I have to do is decompile the apk, add the new pics, recompile, install, and then I can choose it after I have installed it. So decompiling works, I go to recompile and the output file says unsignedcom.whatever. Do I need to sign it? I went ahead and tried to sign it but APK Tool spit out an error and did not let me sign it. So I take the apk, put it on m SD card, and attempt to install it via ES File Explorer. It shows the loading bar, then like 5 seconds later it says "Application not installed" with a checkmark by it. I don't understand why it won't install. It did recompile correctly.

So close!! So I got it to install but in the Theme chooser it says that it wasn't compiled correctly, but I did compile it. Actually, it does need to be signed. I tried not signing it and it wouldn't get past the install point. With signing I could get past installing, but it won't let me apply the theme. Why is that?
No I didn't rename it.
