Help screen resolution difference?

hey guys, so i was forced into upgrading into skyrocket today caues my original galaxy s2 broke within the 30days... and i noticed that the screen is slightly blueish and looks pixelated... is it just my phone or does anybody else notice this?

why not another gs2?

The blueish tint is on a number of android devices , it is a "softer" display.

I have not noticed it on my Skyrocket out of the box, but have noticed it after flashing custom software interestingly enough.

I tend to run my brightness at 100%

hmm well the att person told me that none of the at&t stores carry the original galaxy s2 anymore cause they're trying to push for LTE phones. so either i send in my ogs2 and wait weeks or just trade it in for a new phone... and seeing as holidays are coming and i'm waiting for a phone interview, i couldn't wait weeks for a new phone... and the blueish tint wasn't visible on my ogs2... and the battery life isn't as great as it was on ogs2 either... slightly disappointed... and do u happen to know how to update all the apps at once?

Odd indeed...all 6 of the stores I have been in over the past two weeks stock the sg2

It sounds as if you would rather have the sg2...I would call att. I am not experiencing any of the issues you mention.
Which apps?

well i got my new phone a little over 3 weeks ago, and the at&t rep told me that somestore will still carry them but won't be restocking on them, so they're selling whatever they have in stock and won't order anymore... and in the marketplace, it's showing i have few apps that need updates, but in ogs2, they had a button on top right i could press that lets me update all of them at once with it but i can't seem to find it on skyrocket?

and only reason i'd rather have ogs2 is because it seems like it has much better battery life and resolution? but i think the resolution issue is solved.. but i'm not 100% happy with the battery life... i loved the fact that ogs2 would last me a day and a half on average (i'm usually in class or at work so i dont get to use it too much) but i burned through the battery in 8hours today. granted i did just receive it and i was downloading and fine tuning the device but still, i feel like it's significantly less than ogs2

That update all should still be there ...it is on mine.

Judging a phones battery life the first day...or even week just isn't fair.

Our testing of the two phones showed the exact opposite. Battery life wax much better on the skyrocket.

Its hard to compare from person to person tho...usage habbits etc

true... but the last day that i can call and complain and try to exchange for ogs2 is on the 20th, and seeing how it's only 2days from now i do have to make quick decisions based on preliminary data... i guess i'll wait till the last day and decide. i did notice that when the phone turns on, it take longer on skyrocket to load up the weather and battery widgets than ogs2

In a case like this what I fear is that you are forced into a phone that you did not want..will you really be happy with it? The mind will find a number of things it dislikes in a situation like yours.

Give them a call!

lol true, i got over most of the issue, but i'm still finding it extremely annoying that the battery only lasts me 8hours on sr while it lasted me 1.5days on ogs2... and it's about the same amount of usage since it lasts me 1.5days when i work 13hour shift for ogs2 and 8hours on sr for 13hour shift... it may not be the exact same usage but close enough sine i'm working almost all 13hours and don't have much time to use it
