***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

I played with a Rezound briefly at the Verizon store this weekend. I had a lot of problems with the power button being really hard to press because it was so far recessed in. How are you guys with the Rezound dealing with that? Was extremely irritating.

It is a little irritating but I got used to it quick... The t-bolt was the same way.

Can we please add three things to the first post?

1)That no one really knows when the Verizon double data promotion ends but if you order it on Amazon Wireless, it ends on November 30
2) That returns for cell phones purchased after November 15 are extended to January 9th. Even if they are activated.
3) Every piece of information on this thread is probably wrong. :D

On the second point, there is a thread on AF of people being confuse two years ago when Verizon had the same promotion. http://androidforums.com/verizon/19854-verizon-return-policy-confused.html Also, there was an earlier post of an entire Verizon store not knowing of the promotion even thought they are printed on the receipt/contract that you sign.

Edit: I have added info on point two in post #44183
, four post down.

How can you prove point #2? People in the 09 thread you posted had the same question and the same responses as this year... Some say you have until January no matter what and some say you only have 30 days after activation...

Ha ha, just kidding.

She texted:

:(
So that means possible breach of contract on a november release, if it works the way i suspect... Google/samsung wont care because they will get paid. Sucks that Matias was wrong. He must be boiling inside to see his work of art be tossed around without a care. Verizon i hope this additional BS testing was worth it to ya.

I have been trying to find my old contract for my OG Droid to see what it exactly said since I bought it in 09, but I haven't found it yet. Someone should scan, take a picture, or just copy the return policy that is on there contract and post it so we can see the language for our self.

Edit:
Took from Return Policy - Verizon Wireless
Wireless Device/Accessory Return Policy You may return or exchange wireless devices and accessories purchased from Verizon Wireless within 14 days of purchase. A restocking fee of $35 ($70 for netbooks and tablets) applies to any return or exchange of a wireless device (excluding Hawaii).

This return and exchange policy does not apply to customers who have purchased a Prepaid Plan.

Purchases made between November 15 and December 28, 2011 may be returned or exchanged through January 15, 2012. All other provisions of Verizon Wireless’ Return & Exchange Policy continue to apply, including Restock Fee.
This is for the physical phone

Return and Service Termination

You may terminate service for any reason within 14 days of activation. If you purchased a wireless device at a promotional price at the time of activation, you must return it within the device return period to avoid being assessed an Early Termination Fee of $175, or $350 if you purchased an Advanced Device. You will remain responsible for your Activation Fee unless you terminate service within three days of activation.
I think this is were people are getting confused becasue you cannot cancel the actual monthly phone plan. if you gift a plan, they are stuck with Verizon unless they pay the fee.

Would that be on the receipts that are given at time of purchase?

We are still not clear on your #2 and it's been discussed ad nauseum. There are conflicting reports throughout this thread on this topic. I've posted this several times, but I don't expect you to go find them.

I'll repeat what many have said regarding this though including myself: we are hearing 2 answers from various sources. 1) you can activate the phone now and you still have until Jan 15th to return 2) you have 14 days from the date of activation to return.

You should inquire yourself and see what answer you get or maybe you already have hence your post. Hope this helps with #2. A polite PM to the admin here would be an idea as well.

I don't want it. I love being the passenger. :D

I'm with you. My husband keeps trying to get me to get my own bike. I tell him the world is a safer place with me on the back of his. :D

Unfortunately if I get more info, I'll probably just PM a couple of people and do it that way.

Besides, our wait will be up in 2 or 3 weeks max. I guess it doesn't make a difference if we know exactly when it will drop.

I do hope I will be on that short list. :) And I hope you're right about the wait. I'm not convinced that Verizon isn't seeing all the people on the forums who are jumping to the R-phones because they're tired of waiting, so they decided to push the date to cash in on our impatience. If it keeps happening, what's to prevent them from taking this all the way til 12/31? Win/win for them.

Not sure if this has any significance, but I just decided to sign up for GNex emails on my other email address and got this message upon completing the form:

"Thanks for signing up. Your emails will begin arriving soon."

It's been saying that for weeks. I signed up on my work email address a few days after that page launched, and it said the same thing then.

Wow, looks like things got pretty heated yesterday, eesh. I started trying to catch up from over 20 pages ago and gave up
Whelp, the wife isn't going to be happy waiting another 17 days to get my Bionic. Her OG is really in the crapper. I keep offering to activate my old OG since it's in much better shape than hers but she says she's fine. Anyone know how easy it is to activate an older phone? If I can get it done online real quick I may just do it for her anyway.
