Wouldn't that be the ultimate plunger in the a** from Verizon. We have been waiting months for the first ICS phone....and the Droid 4 migt wind up being the first ICS phone.

I don't think that will happen. Droid 4 won't have ICS out of the box(hopefully)

Even if Droid 4 comes with ICS, it will not be pure ICS...

I personally would be more concerned of Transformer Prime being the first with ICS.

Just my 2 cents.... :D

that could explain the end of the poem from BMX in september:

the OG droid was a "pure google" device, so who knows?

That would be pretty cool. The OG was the best smart phone Use ever had out of 4 (and Id even say I enjoyed it more that my iDevices, which include 2 itouches and an ipad -- some were gifts). I would love for both the Nexus and Droid to launch before Christmas with pure android - my mom would love it!

Just got a text from my sister.

You need to stop bombarding me with texts. I don't know! I will let you know when I hear something. You're such a whiny girl. :p

:(

sooo....heard anything since that text? lol.

Actually, so I was out for an early thanksgiving dinner and I started spouting off about the GNex, rattling off specs, dimensions, etc. Then it dawned on me....we are the Wooderson's of the geek world!!!!

I remember reading the same thing, but i believe that was only for MATERIAL costs. There is still labor and machinery/operating costs associated with each unit, I wouldn't be surprised if they actually cost $200-250 to make. So if you buy subsidized, you are actually getting it close to cost.

A nook costs 208 to manufacture - they've gotten all that press about feeling ti cheaper than it costs to build.

So is it safe to assume with that leaked document pic on the Droid 4 story that December 8th is finally the day? If it isn't then I hate to say it but I might go rent a Rezound. I have been off all week and purposely haven't driven any where near the VZW stores because I will go in and buy one!

I don't think it's safe to assume anything yet

I don't think it's safe to assume anything, but you have to 1/15/12 to return it as long as you don't damage it.

Ninja'd again!

The reason all these wireless company's are so secretive now is because of all these people that rent phone's knowing they have intention's on keeping them. It's also the reason price's have gone thru the roof. 750.00 for a phone is bull crap I guess people think they have a right to rip big company's off.And can't understand why these company's seem to be ripping them off.
I'm going to put this a diff way say someone go's store and buy's a 750.00 t-bone steak get home cut's it in half eat's that half put's the other in the frig well 14 day's later open's the frig say's o-shit i'm going to take that back to the store and tell them this steak is no good I want you to give me a new one. You can't go to a new car lot buy a car use it for 14 day's and take it back and say I dont like this car give me my money back.

Why does it have to be a plunger? There are some plumbers on this site that might take offense to that statement.

Do they have a policy that says I can return said steak all or part until 1/15/2012? ;)

Steak example is just silly so I won't even quote that, but yes, a lot of car dealerships will let you drive the car home for a certain # of days and you can return it (heck some will let you drive it home for the night before paying ANYTHING). Bottom line is, if a company has a policy that allows for this, then they have already done the calculations and determined that they will make more money off of the benefits of this policy vs it's consequences.

Running an economic analysis is one of the main things I do at my company, no decision/policy is made without an analysis being done.
